Lay of the Land: the whole of Tre Cime di Lavaredo in one drawing, streets, water, woods and hills included, with the route drawn into the map. Atlas prints the whole map tone on tone in pink, with the streets and the route in paper white. The road to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo is a climb in three acts. From Misurina the first kilometre bites straight away, up to little Lago d'Antorno; then comes a two-kilometre breather past the toll gate, where cyclists ride through for free. After that it gets serious: four kilometres at around twelve percent, with ramps of 18, on an open mountainside with nowhere to hide. You finish at 2304 metres at the foot of the three famous rock towers. Since 1967 a grand-tour stage has ended here eight times, in 2013 in a snowstorm. For the climber who keeps the Dolomites close to heart.
