Elevation profile
The story
Only 2.2 km long, yet Mickhausen has been described as the fastest course on the German hill-climb calendar, with top speeds of up to 230 km/h. From the start curve at the edge of the village of Münster, the road runs into the forest towards Birkach, climbing just 79 m, through a chicane by a parking area and out to the finish where the trees end. The first race was held on 12 September 1964; after 1985 the course fell silent until racing resumed in 2001. Today it closes the season of the German hill-climb championship. For the fan who prefers raw speed to hairpins.
