The story

Since 1911 the TT races have used the Mountain Course: 60.7 kilometres of everyday Manx roads, closed for racing and lined with stone walls, front gardens and village pubs. From Douglas the riders hurtle down Bray Hill, take flight at Ballaugh Bridge, slow for Ramsey Hairpin, then climb across the open moorland of the mountain before sweeping back towards the start. With some 219 corners per lap, few places on earth ask more of a rider's memory and courage. Hung at home, it spans half an island.
