The route

Named corners

    The story

Along the Red Sea waterfront of Jeddah's Corniche, this street circuit races between concrete walls at speeds few city tracks have ever seen. Opened in 2021, it packs 27 corners into just over six kilometres, many of them flat-out kinks where the walls seem to close in. The anticlockwise lap barely lets you breathe: a blur of fast bends, a banked hairpin and a long run back beside the sea. Under floodlights, the coastline becomes a glowing ribbon. Fierce and relentless, it suits a wall that likes some drama.
