Named corners

The story

East of Jerez de la Frontera, in the sun-baked sherry country of Andalusia, this circuit threads fifteen corners into 4.428 kilometres. Opened in 1985, it soon welcomed the Grand Prix, yet its heart belongs to two wheels: every spring the grass banks and grandstands fill with motorcycle fans, flags and music. The lap mixes quick, flowing sweepers with heavy braking zones, ending at a tight final hairpin where many duels have been settled. Hang it up and borrow some Andalusian warmth on a grey day.
