The story
Every November, the streets of Macau turn into a circuit like no other. The Guia lap opens with a flat-out run along the waterfront and a heavy stop at Lisboa Bend, then climbs into a narrow, twisting ribbon around Guia Hill, hemmed in by unforgiving barriers. Then a painfully slow hairpin leads back towards the sea. The Grand Prix has been held here since 1954, a proving ground for generations of young talent. Even on a quiet wall, the line hints at neon, sea air and nerve.
