The story

Just inland from the beaches of the Adriatic Riviera, near Riccione, Misano sits in a part of Italy that lives and breathes motorcycles. Opened in 1972, the track runs clockwise, mixing slow, tight hairpins with long, fast sweepers, none braver than the flat-out right-hander called the Curvone. Hills rise to the west, the sea glitters to the east, and on race weekends the grandstands become a sea of flags for the home riders. Picture it above your desk, with a hint of summer and petrol.
