Elevation profile
The story
Thirty-three kilometres of gravel, and barely a moment to breathe. Ouninpohja winds through the forests and lakes around Jämsä in central Finland, never climbing much above 180 metres yet packed with crests and jumps. The most famous is the Yellow House jump on Okskulmantie, a place of pilgrimage for spectators. Then comes the tight Kakaristo hairpin at the end of one of the fastest gravel roads in rallying, and finally a narrow stretch of small road full of crests. After years away, the long version returned in 2024 in its classic south-to-north direction. For anyone who has stood beside a Finnish forest road and felt the ground shake.
