The story
Colin's Crest needs no introduction, and this is where you find it: on Vargåsen, deep in the forests of Värmland. The stage opens fast, then narrows into a slow, technical run through the trees, once the slowest forest stage of the Swedish winter rally, before the crest rises about 1.5 kilometres from the finish. Named in 2008 in tribute to the late 1995 world champion, it brought a prize every year for the longest leap; the best on record is 45 metres. Lack of snow cost the stage its 2020 run, and the rally has since moved north. For the wall of every winter-rally devotee.
