The story

In Mie prefecture, beside a funfair with a Ferris wheel, Suzuka is one of the few figure-of-eight circuits, crossing over itself on a bridge. Opened in 1962 as a test track, it became a favourite of drivers and fans. The lap begins with the snaking S Curves, where one small mistake ruins the next corner, then flows through Degner, the Hairpin and the long Spoon. Taken flat out, 130R still demands real bravery. It looks as elegant on the wall as it feels at speed.
