The story
The sea on one side, rock on the other, and sometimes a dizzying drop in between. The Calvi stage follows the D 81B coast road of the Balagne from Crovani bay, by the ruins of the old Argentella silver mine, to just past the turning for the Notre-Dame de la Serra chapel, with the Revellata peninsula ahead. For years it was run the other way and named after that hilltop chapel. In 2019 it returned, after more than twenty years away, as the power stage of the Corsican tarmac rally, and proved one of the fastest stages in the event's history. For a wall that could use some Mediterranean light.
