    The story

On the Asian side of Istanbul, in the rolling hills above Tuzla, this anticlockwise circuit opened in 2005 and quickly won drivers over. The 5.338-kilometre lap begins with a plunging downhill left, but the real star is Turn 8: a long, fast left-hander with four apexes that loads necks and tyres for what feels like an age. The Grand Prix raced here from 2005 to 2011 and made a welcome return in 2020. Hang it as a nod to the city where two continents meet.
