The story
Rising out of the desert just north of Doha, Lusail opened in 2004 for motorcycle Grand Prix racing and soon became famous for racing under floodlights. The 5.419-kilometre lap is fast and flowing: a long main straight followed by a chain of quick, sweeping corners that test neck muscles and tyres alike. Sixteen corners, clockwise, with commitment rewarded above all. Hang it in a quiet corner of your home and let the warm glow of a desert night settle on your wall.
