The story
Ten hairpins, stacked one above the other, carry this stage up the Serra de la Mussara above Vilaplana. Before them comes a twisting, almost Corsican opening; after them, the plateau and the ruins of La Mussara, a deserted village at about 990 metres where every building has fallen into ruin. Then the character changes completely: after a junction the road turns smoother and very fast, with long straights, a pair of square bends and one last long hairpin before the flying finish. These 20.7 kilometres in the hills of Tarragona served as the power stage of the Catalan rally in 2019. For the fan who counts hairpins for fun.
