Elevation profile
The story
Druidale Road is the kind of lane where two cars meeting would be a problem: single track, climbing out of Ravensdale at the head of Ballaugh Glen onto the open hills of the Isle of Man. The stage follows it all the way up to Brandywell Cottage, then turns along the Brandywell road to the Sartfield hairpin beneath Sartfell before dropping towards Little London. Around eleven kilometres of tarmac with some 380 metres of climbing, on public roads closed for the rally by an Act of Tynwald, the island's parliament. The stage record was set in 1989. For anyone who loves the island's wild, empty uplands.
