Elevation profile
The story
Vineyards at the bottom, forest at the top: the climb from Turckheim to Trois-Épis leaves the Fecht valley near Colmar and runs 5.95 km up the D 11 to just below the little resort on the edge of the Vosges. It averages 5.5 %, with a chicane added in 2000 at the end of the opening straight. First run in 1956, it is the oldest event in the French hill-climb championship, has never left the series and is today its longest course. From 1980 to 2003 it also counted towards the European championship. For the study of anyone who knows Alsace for more than its wine.
