The story
An hour inland from the Riviera, the world changes. From Sospel the road snakes up the Bévéra valley past Moulinet, and then the forest closes in: dark conifers and an endless series of hairpins that fall into a rhythm of their own. At 1,607 metres you reach the Col de Turini, a quiet crossroads among the trees. Rally fans know this road as a legendary special stage of the famous winter rally out of Monaco. On the far side you zigzag down to La Bollène-Vésubie. For anyone who can still hear a perfectly taken corner echoing in their head.
